How to Ruin a Great Design: Response

I can say that after reading the article, I do understand where the reader is coming from. His main point about the article was to tell the reader that nothing should ever change about a company and everything should be the same until the end of time. The author gave many examples of bad designs but didn't manage to give one good redesign by a company. Though I do feel that signs should be properly capitalized and spaced, it isn't the end of the world if ten signs out of ten thousand have an error. As for Citroen, they're new logo does leave the viewer with something to be longed for, but you can still distinguish their cars from any other car manufacturer. The author decided to ramble on about subpar examples instead of keeping the reading short, sweet, and to the point.

The above photo is a prototype Fingerprint Alarm. The finished version will look somewhat similar to this.

This man is sporting the most recent design of X-ray Goggles. Tests have shown that long durations of use can lead to high radiation to the skull and affiliated areas.

Inefficient:

X-Ray Goggles
These X-Ray Goggles are the newest and smallest design for x-ray capabilities. Although this product is a wired machine, it is still the first step into redefining the way that we use x-ray technology. The intuitive 3 inch width alongside the 6 inch length does limit the maneuverability of the product, but doesn't effect the quality and purity of the product itself. The X-Ray Goggles are a product fit for any doctor who uses x-ray technology in their establishment. The X-Ray Goggles are also must smaller than standard x-ray machines now. With the X-Ray Goggles, you will be one step closer to redefining how we use x-rays for the wellbeing of the people.

5 Questions

1. What is your computer experience?
I have had computer classes in high school, some going over the basics of using Photoshop. I use a computer almost everyday for personal use and school work.

2. What is your major class?
My major class is Game Design and Development.

3. What do you hope to get out of this class?
I hope to learn how to effectively use Photoshop and learn the basics of computer graphics.

4. Who is your favorite artist?
I don't really have a favorite artist for artwork. My favorite music artist would be Marty O'Donnell.

5. Write a five line story?
I'm not much for writing stories right on the spot. I usually have to brainstorm for a good ten minutes before I can get started. My biggest problem with writing a story is that I never feel like my introductory sentence is good enough. I feel the same way about artwork that I create online or in a notebook. I never know where to start and I never feel like it is good enough of a start.
